The evening’s program features an intriguing lineup of two often-overlooked instruments, the viola and the double bass,
which, however, share a highly virtuosic and little-known repertoire from the 17th and 18th centuries. The outstanding Czech double bassist Eva Šašinková, as well as violist Jitka Hosprová, showcase their instruments across various genres and concert combinations. The technical capabilities of both performers allow for the execution of a thoroughly virtuosic—and consequently rarely performed in concert—program. The already original program for the duo will be enriched by the performers’ collaboration with baritone Filip Bandžak in original arias
